There is still a chance to change

The New Year is still doing baby steps and it's a good idea to ask ourselves some questions. As it is our tradition at the change of the New Year, we think of all kind of changes we’re going to make: losing weight, getting in shape, kicking our cigarette habit, working on our career, you name it.

All these are great resolutions and I hope that you are achieving your goals but I am a bit doubtful and only you can answer that question. What makes me a bit uncertain is something that the manager of my gym told me recently. He said that 67% of the people that bought a membership at the end of the year just come a few times and then are never seen again.

I hope that you were able to fulfill the promise you gave yourself and wish you good luck, but there is something else, something that’s just as important as all our resolutions. I am talking about investing our time wisely to get the most out of life – time that improves our personality, time that make us happy, and time that we can use to help others.

Time will never come back. Once it is gone, it's gone forever. Of course we all know that, but this time of the year is a good opportunity to realize what these powerful words really mean. We should focus on what goes right instead of what goes wrong, see the positive in our lives, get rid of our tendency to play the blame game, learn to let go, and – if necessary – make amends for the things that went wrong.
