|Solar Taxi World Tour||Nathan Phillips Square, Toronto||In front of City Hall|
Swiss citizen Louis Palmer and his solar powered vehicle started their world tour on July 3rd 2007. After a journey of more than 40000 km through Eastern Europe, the Middle East, Oceania and Asia the SOLAR TAXI will be in Toronto from August 25th to 28th. The Solar Taxi, which does not emit any CO2 and is made of almost 100% Swiss technology will be officially welcomed by the City of Toronto in the presence of Deputy Mayor Joe Pantalone during a public presentation on August 25. On this occasion, the Swiss community of Toronto is kindly invited to join in greeting our compatriot Louis Palmer and his team and have a look at this incredible vehicle. After the presentation at City Hall, the Solar Taxi will be driven to the Canadian National Exhibition where it will remain on a on-and-off display in front of the ECO-Pods (Music Building) for a few days. Louis Palmer and his vehicle will then leave Toronto on August 29th for the USA, via Niagara.
