|Spousal/Partner Evening Reception 2009||Gladstone Hotel||1214 Queen Street West, Toronto|
The Gladstone Hotel is the oldest continuously operating hotel in Toronto. The Gladstone was originally built in 1889 as a stylish hostelry across from the then existing Parkdale railroad station. The Gladstone Hotel, which had been neglected over the last 50+ years, was purchased by the Zeidler family in 2002. Hotel President Christina Zeidler teamed up with her father, renowned architect Eb Zeidler of Zeidler Partnership to undertake the two year restoration project, bringing the Gladstone back to life in its former glory with a truly authentic experience of the local creative culture.
