Ever wondered what Netflix viewers in other countries pay for their subscription? According to this article in CE Today, Americans have the largest catalogue to choose from, followed by Switzerland (over 5,600 available titles). But Canadians pay the least for their subscription on a pro-rated basis (about 5,500 titles for USD 6.90 monthly), meaning that “per title cost” is the lowest in Canada.

24-year-old Toronto native and co-founder of blockchain company Ethereum Vitalik Buterin has received an Honorary Doctorate from the University of Basle. Vitalik founded Ethereum in Toronto to eventually relocate to the CryptoValley in Zug.

Switzerland and Canada are both ranked in the top ten of IMD’s World Talent Ranking (2018 edition). This is a first for Canada (in 6th [place), while Switzerland sits at the top of the list in first place. Canada is the only non-European country in the list’s top ten.

A Swiss-Canadian partnership is trying to compete with Apple Watch. Yahoo Finance reports that Wearatec from Waterloo (ON) has entered partnerships with Tissot and Longines for its wearable tech. The idea is to keep the traditional watch but add a small screen to the clasp area of the band on the wrist.

For the first time in Canada, an exhibition dedicated to Paul Klee is on display at The National Gallery of Canada. The museum is showing the Berggruen Collection on loan from the Metropolitan Museum of Art (New York); it will run through March 17, 2019.
