Merck creates R&D company in Geneva

Created by Merck Ventures, the German giant’s corporate venture arm, iOnctura is a new company specializing in immuno-oncology.

Merck, a leading science and technology company, has recently announced the creation of iOnctura, a spin-off dedicated to immuno-oncology. Based in Geneva, iOnctura is formed around two assets from Merck's healthcare R&D portfolio and three other assets from Cancer Research Technology (CRT), the commercial arm of Cancer Research UK. Merck will manage the investment and will be represented on iOnctura’s board of directors. Read more

Stadler moves forward with site plans

The train manufacturer Stadler will continue to use its existing site in Altenrhein SG until 2020, after which time it will relocate rail vehicle production to St.Margrethen SG. The company will keep a presence in Altenrhein after the move.

Stadler plans to build a new and efficiency-optimised production plant in St.Magrethen. According to a Stadler statement, the final decision on the precise location will be made by the board of directors “after the summer holidays”. Read more
